In 2026, Tokyo came under attack by Lucifer Hawks, a horde of supernatural demons and monsters. To combat this threat, six young women with psychic and super powers became the AMP (Abnormal Mystery Police). Kia Asamiya's visual masterpiece, Silent Möbius, is a mixture of science-fiction and fantasy. Set in the early 21st Century, Tokyo has become bleak and heavily polluted, reminiscent of a scene from Blade Runner. Evil demons are attacking the city and the police's hope is to create a special force capable of handling it. The six-woman team of AMP features Katsumi Liquer, a developing sorceress; Nami Yamigumo, a talented young priestess; Kiddy Phenil, a super-woman with over 70% cybernetic parts; Lebia Maverick, a genius hacker and visionary; Yuki Saiko, a young esper; and their commanding officer, Rally Cheyenne. Mecha merges with magic as the women of AMP fend off the attacks of the Lucifer Hawks. Each battle scene is beautifully drawn as each frame jumps to life from the pages. Silent Möbius features a typical sentai or team element and the early stories focuses on delving into each character's past.
